In this four hour press conference and panel discussion on Nov. 28, journalist Ralph Laurent (Jean Max Louissaint) for the first time gives the full story of his three-day political detention by Dominican authorities from Nov. 23 to 26.

Interviewed by Haïti Liberté journalist Kim Ives, Haïti Liberté‘s Santo Domingo correspondent Noa Batlle, Haitian journalist Kervens Louissaint, and Ouvri Baryè journalist Johnny Eliassaint, Laurent (with sections filled in by Batlle) explains the ordeal he underwent after being arrested at the Santo Domingo airport when legally entering the country on personal business.

He reveals how he was arrested for his political positions, the terrible conditions in the Dominican detention center in Haina, the interrogation he underwent on his return to the U.S., and much more.

The first hour of the press conference is conducted in English, and the remaining three hours are conducted in Kreyòl.
