Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to lead our Economic Development and Investment department. This volunteer position is ideal for someone who has a deep love for Haiti, aligns with our ideology, and is committed to transparency and honesty. The Head of Economic Development and Investment will play a crucial role in driving initiatives that promote economic growth, attract investment, and support the overall development of Haiti.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans to promote economic development and attract investment in Haiti.
Collaborate with local and international stakeholders to identify and pursue investment opportunities.
Lead and manage a team of volunteers and professionals dedicated to economic development projects.
Conduct research and analysis to inform policy recommendations and strategic initiatives.
Advocate for policies and practices that support sustainable economic growth in Haiti.
Foster relationships with key partners, including government agencies, private sector entities, and non-profit organizations.
Ensure transparency and accountability in all department activities and initiatives.
Represent The Haitian Diaspora Network at relevant events, conferences, and meetings.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in economic development, investment, or a related field.
Strong understanding of Haiti’s economic landscape and development challenges.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated commitment to transparency, honesty, and ethical practices.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Passion for Haiti and a deep understanding of the Haitian Diaspora Network’s mission and values.
Fluency in English and Haitian Creole (preferred).
