Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to lead our Community Development and Social Services department. This volunteer position is ideal for someone who has a deep love for Haiti, aligns with our ideology, and is committed to transparency and honesty. The Head of Community Development and Social Services will play a crucial role in driving initiatives that promote community well-being, social equity, and overall development in Haiti.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance community development and social services in Haiti.
- Collaborate with local and international stakeholders to identify and address community needs.
- Lead and manage a team of volunteers and professionals dedicated to community development projects.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform policy recommendations and strategic initiatives.
- Advocate for policies and practices that support social equity and community well-being in Haiti.
- Foster relationships with key partners, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community groups.
- Ensure transparency and accountability in all department activities and initiatives.
- Represent The Haitian Diaspora Network at relevant events, conferences, and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in community development, social services, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Haiti’s social landscape and development challenges.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to transparency, honesty, and ethical practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for Haiti and a deep understanding of the Haitian Diaspora Network’s mission and values.
- Fluency in English and Haitian Creole (preferred).
