This week, we once again focus on Venezuela, after the U.S. militarily attacked and invaded the country on Jan. 3 and kidnapped President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores. President Maduro is now imprisoned in Brooklyn, NY, where he will be prosecuted.
Venezuelan activist William Camacaro and Orinoco Tribune editor Saheli Chowdury speak with Joseph Mullen and Kim Ives about the latest developments, particularly regarding vice-president Delcy Rodriguez assuming leadership and the response of other Latin American nations.
Then Joseph and Kim discuss the parallels of Maduro’s kidnapping with that of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide by another U.S. Special Forces operation in 2004, an event on which Kim did much reporting.
