About Us: Unite For Kidz is a prevention and intervention after school program dedicated to supporting the development and well-being of children from diverse communities. As a program under the Haitian Diaspora Network, we strive to align our activities with the Network’s mission and goals, fostering unity, support, and development within the Haitian diaspora and beyond.
Role Overview: We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as the Executive Director of Unite For Kidz. This volunteer position requires dedication, love for children, and a commitment to serving communities of all backgrounds. The Executive Director will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring that the program’s activities align with the Haitian Diaspora Network’s mission and goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate transparency, honesty, and the ability to connect with local and international leaders to ensure the program’s development and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Provide visionary and strategic leadership to the organization.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring the program’s activities align with the Haitian Diaspora Network’s mission and goals.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Program Development and Implementation:
- Design, implement, and evaluate prevention and intervention programs that meet the needs of the community.
- Ensure programs are evidence-based and adhere to best practices in the field.
- Monitor program outcomes and make data-driven decisions to improve services.
- Develop strategies to duplicate the program in Haiti.
- Community Engagement and Advocacy:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders.
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and other public forums.
- Advocate for policies and practices that support the program’s mission and goals.
- Fundraising and Financial Management:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure financial support from diverse sources.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial stability and sustainability.
- Oversee grant writing and reporting, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a nonprofit or educational organization.
- Strong understanding of prevention and intervention strategies for youth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to secure funding and manage budgets.
- Passion for working with children and commitment to the program’s mission.
- Ability to connect with local and international leaders to support program development.
