About Us: The Haitian Diaspora Network is committed to promoting the interests and activities of the Haitian community both locally and internationally. Our mission is to foster unity, support, and development within the Haitian diaspora, while also engaging with international communities to build strong, positive relationships.
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate volunteer to join our team as a Fundraising and Resource Mobilization Volunteer. This role is essential in securing funding and resources to support the Network’s activities. The ideal candidate will align with the philosophy, ideology, and vision of the Haitian Diaspora Network, demonstrating a deep love for Haiti, transparency, and honesty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure financial support for the Network’s activities and initiatives.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities from various sources, including grants, donations, and sponsorships.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding organizations.
- Organize and coordinate fundraising events and campaigns.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals and funding applications.
- Monitor and report on fundraising progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure alignment with the Network’s mission and goals.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the Haitian culture and community.
- Proven experience in fundraising, resource mobilization, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and sponsors.
- Proficiency in using fundraising software and digital tools.
- High level of integrity, transparency, and honesty.
- Passion for promoting the Haitian Diaspora Network’s mission and values.
